Zhejiang Golden Bulls

The Zhejiang Golden Bulls, formerly known as the Zhejiang Wanma Cyclones (浙江万马旋风) or Whirlwinds, and Zhejiang Horses are a professional basketball team based in Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang, which plays in the Chinese Basketball Association. The Horses designation came about because the term ''wanma'' in the name of the corporate sponsor from that era also means "ten thousand horses." The club plays its home games at the Yiwu Gymnasium.
During the 2004–2005 season, the Zhejiang Cyclones finished in sixth place in the South Division, and out of the playoffs. In 2005–2006 they suffered the same fate again. The team's fortunes have trended in a better direction since changing nicknames and becoming the Golden Bulls ahead of the 2009-10 CBA season. Noted American bad boy J.R. Smith played for the club during the 2011 NBA lockout, but was notoriously unhappy, and left in early 2012.
